The Story Behind the Ridge

We got our start in rescue by fostering for Blue Ridge Humane Society, then continued with Angels Among Us, and eventually became involved at the Gilmer County Animal Shelter through Ellijay Paws in Need. Over time, we fostered more than 70 dogs which barely made a dent in the need we saw every day. Seeing the gaps up close is what pushed us to do more. Rescue Ridge grew out of that—recognizing a problem and deciding that we could do more.
